Space and Layers

Project work about Space and Layers: An element was explored through collage then modelled

Mine was Wind....

Wind

Wind Modelled conceptually

Cue dynamic composition:

The final part to this project was putting it on site. My model shows paths going through a reed meadow. Some of the paths follow the direction of the wind and some are sheltered from it. The reeds themselves interact with the wind creating movement, sound and atmosphere.

My favourite models made by others on show were Rowan's Fire Model and  Nick's Wind Model. Here they are with why I liked them:
Rowan's Model: The things I liked about this were: the colours mainly the contrast between the blue-green and red-orange, and the use of paper. It has a rustle-like, crinkly appearance that reminded me of the noise that fire makes.

I liked Nick's model because it just seemed to be the epitome of wind: extremely light and airy with a definite directionality.
